Your story has read clear. You etched out each chapter with your heart and soul. No mistake can be made of the main character, your GOD. There is no cloudiness to your goal; authentic work, Good Trouble. As if you were my own family member, I see you, sir. My mother's family came from sharecroppers. I appreciate your stamina, courage, compassion, living life in divine balance. To the family, I send warm condolences for the time ahead is one of powerful love sharing among you all. Blessings and comfort. To the young man, beloved son take your time and let each day help you to reflect and ask each day, "What would my father do?: " Proceed with your heart. Respectfully, Sandra D. Harper

I feel as though I've lost a dear friend. A fellow soldier on the front line of the everlasting battle for human freedom and dignity. I will keep him with me, for the rest of my life, in my heart, in my thoughts and decision making processes, and, in everything I do. It is the least I can do, for my friend. Heaven Welcome You With Open Arms, John. Captain's Table. www.soundclick.com/jesusoldman To John's Family: Well, I will tell you, I lost my wife to cancer in 2012. And yes, oh it hurts. It still hurts. I'd like to tell you it gets easier. I just ain't that good liar, and, really, nor would I try to be. To watch that happen to someone you love. It's harder than anyone who hasn't been through it can ever imagine. I truly do believe, John is not in pain anymore, and looking back, very and deeply proud, of a life, a good life of a good man, well lived. I truly do believe, God Himself is proud of John Lewis. Welcome To Eternity John. For all of us, who strive, to make a difference in the world, oh man, you set the bar. Thank you, My Dear Brother you will be missed, because I miss you already. Jesus

Even now, after all these years, one must marvel at the courage John Lewis displayed at such a young age. He literally put his life on the line and did not turn away even after being beaten and jailed numerous times. One of the greatest tributes to a person is to affirm that he/she left this world a better place for having been in it. John Lewis more than achieved that. We must honor his life by continuing to fight inequality wherever it exists. Thank you John Lewis, for leading a noble and inspiring life.

In an era where we verge on sliding into a fascist and failed state, I am so sorry to see you leave us so soon when we need your conscience, your spirit of justice and fairness and your incredible courage. To your family, I can only say thank for having had the great fortune of John Lewis in your lives and I extend my heartfelt condolences to you each for this grievous loss to you, to our nation and to our planet. It is up to us to carry on his remarkable legacy, not only for civil rights, for LGBTQ+ rights, for fairness and decency--but indeed the greatest challenge our species has ever faced, the global heating that may herald our self-inflicted extinction. We have great challenges ahead--and they are rendered more possible to face and overcome because of remarkable people, genuine, decent and honorable, as Congressperson John Lewis.
