Today, as we watch too many public figures sacrifice their souls for personal profit, whether it be financial or otherwise, John Lewis stood as a giant soul, truly an angel among us. His powerful message of unrelenting peaceful resistance and speaking truth to power is shocking in its simplicity and in contrast to the soulless leadership we have witnessed from the Executive branch the last four years. God bless you John Lewis, and thank you for your ever persistent ability, no matter the odds, of speaking to the strength of our better Angels and the importance of getting into good trouble. You were and always will be a true American hero.

John, I am five years younger than you. I am so blessed to have lived in your life time to witness and benefit from your brilliant legacy.

May the memory of John Lewis teach us all how to live - with integrity, with compassion and with honor. He was and will always be the man who set the bar. Anything less is unacceptable. And may his memory be a blessing.

To The Family and Beloved Ones of Congressman John Lewis: Where do I begin? Thank you for your execution, and your enacting a thought into action. Thank you for seeing beyond the rulings of a once time, and seeing what the law and abilities of today should and can be. Thank you for the compassion and just agape love; that you show throughout your life to others - no matter the circumstance or any politic. Thank you for the want to integrate a university. Moreover, I am a graduate of the University of Kentucky; your courage is a main figure that allow me the ability to attend this University, and maintain the mental stability to graduate from it. Also, the ability to attend graduate-level/ executive education at Cornell University and Syracuse University. Thank you for putting equality and diversity as a priority; this inspires me to start my own business; and give back to causes that the community does need. Thank you for being proud of all the background from Alabama, and not hiding that or viewing as a deterrent - but using it to excel and relate to people - continue to go highest height of influence. Thank you to the family for allowing all of us to experience the agape love and patience of Congressman John Lewis. I made it a priority to attend the Celebration Of Life held at Troy University, attend to Selma Late Bridge Crossing, and the Alabama Capitol Montgomery Lie In State. Thank you Congressman John Lewis Thank You. With Love And Respect, CassieAnn Robinson, Founder CassieAnnLife.com

To: The Family, Of Rep. John Robert Lewis With due respects, I send my condolences to Rep. John Lewis Family. This was a great lost. I remember when he wrote to me in 2008. Asking me to help Mr. Barack Obama, When Barack Obama was no sure to stand for the Presidency ;I send him a message back to him, I insured him I would do all I could as Self Advocate to get the support he need. Rep.Lewis was always looking up for President Barack Obama to move forward.. He was happy for the fight we went through to Win the seat for President Obama. He send a message he thanked me for helping. A few days before he died, I was getting support for Mr. Lewis. That last day, I found out he had left us. I was shock. But like everyone else knew he was very sick. I Thank y him for all he did from the beginning . There was no one like him . Except for those who he followed stood strong in his position to keep fighting for Human Rights for Africa and for the Black people in all the communities in America.Even though he was not there in all those states. He's present was every where. As a Self Advocate for many organizations and specially for Human Rights watch ; I thank him for all he did. May His Angel roped him with so much love and appreciation for serving God while standing for the Black community and serving this Government. He stood so strong for Human Rights which today should be so important for everyone no matter the color, religion ,language, and status.Thank you for your years of service and dedication; Hon. My greatest moments coming from Brooklyn, NY to Atlanta, GA was the privilege to be taught by Dr. Christine King Farris and meet Congressman Lewis. Your humble but fearless spirit broke down barriers that helped to better the lives of so many people. You will be missed. We will continue your good trouble and ensure your legacy lives on.
